Premise:
1) 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
2) 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- We believe poverty can be defeated through knowledge, wisdom and understanding through the Bible and the Holy Spirit in any physical location.
- We believe in the concept of “Teach a man to fish” and providing opportunities to do so.
- We believe there is an empowerment for life that takes place when a believer receives Jesus and the Holy Spirit, enabling them to succeed in this life, in every area, because of they receive the Spirit of Wisdom , the mind of Christ and the burden breaking, yoke destroying power of God.
Mission Statement:
To create a self supportive centre that can develop every major aspect of a community through empowerment of life through Biblical wisdom, life practices and the power of God.
Core Ministries:
1. Day/Night Care – A major problem for working single parent or parents is day care for their children. This leads to the problem of children growing up in places with abuse, bad morals and wrong world views. If a child’s world-view is formed by the time they are 5, if we can provide a facility flooded with the love of God and technology, we can change that child’s world view and mental nourishment, thus changing a life.. This enables parents to provide for their families without the usual trade off. This will be available to parents attending night education classes at the centre.
2.Workforce – We believe that through vocational training and renewal of the heart through the power of God, we can develop a temporary work agency that will provide employment for many members of the community in many facets of industry. Our goal would be to equip educationally, morally and spiritually, members of the community seeking work so that their .quality of work and work ethic overwhelms employers and thus provides permanent positions for people who would have no opportunity.
This facet of the centre will in turn generate an income for the centre.
3. Entrepreneurial mentorship – We believe through training and mentoring by successful businessmen in the church, developing programs and through biblical understanding and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can produce an increasing number of small and large businesses out of destitute people. This will not only provide jobs for many unemployed, but it will change the financial and spiritual climate of downtown Denver and impact of the church.
This centre will retain a certain percentage of all businesses started and thus provide income for the centre.
4. Newhab – This is the term is that will be our goal for broken people who will come through the centre. We believe by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit we will produce people who will be an asset to society, the church and the family. We will have a number of programs, depending on the addiction or issue, with a solid foundation on the life changing power of God and practical application of Biblical principals.. These people will have opportunities for their new life through temporary housing, ministry opportunities and job opportunities through the temporary workforce and entrepreneurial businesses.
5. Orphanage – Most stories heard about an orphanage are nightmare story. We solidly believe that it is possible to take an orphan, through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, and find wonderful homes or within the orphanage produce God loving, emotionally stable, secure and educated children destined to succeed. We believe we can produce an orphanage that is a piece of heaven for every child coming through the doors, that by the time that child is grown, there is no difference between that orphaned child and a child that grew up in a ‘perfect family’.
6. Wisdom center – Through a series of continual courses based biblical principles and financial education, we believe we can raise the standard of living and eradicate poverty for every family practicing the principals taught.
For eg. Raising Children, Marriage, Real Estate, Savings programs, Credit and Debt, ect.
7. Home restoration – We believe by raising the state and conditions of a person’s home, we can inspire them to raise the condition of their life. We would put into place a program to restore homes and provide needed furniture, appliances and needed repairs for people that initially could not afford. If possible the home owners would be part of the restoration process.
8. After-school and Educational programs – Through computers, multimedia and the thousands of tools provided for children and adults, we are able to provide education at a fraction of the cost and producing scholars out of people who otherwise would have little or no education, changing the economic and possibilities of an impoverished area.
9. Sporting centre – Through the development of sporting we will develop and deepen relationships between members of the community themselves and between the community and the centre.
10. Transport system – We will need to develop our own network of buses and transports to allow people to get to and from the centre from other areas until we are established in those areas.
11. Satellite church Planting – Churches will need to be developed in the areas that the Centre impacts and influences to maintain the spiritual growth and mentoring needs.
How we plan to do it
Phase 1)
1) Initial property acquirement and setup: We need to strategically purchase a large building or a set of close proximity set of buildings within walking distance of the initial project area and in close proximity to a school.
1) Auditorium – This will be a building with seating for around 200 and a platform stage area. We will use this for our mid-week and Sunday church services, special event programs (concerts, conferences ctc), large group education programs and wisdom centre teaching. We will need lighting, sound equipment, projector, screen and seating.
2) Housing – We need to purchase a building that has a number of rooms for housing. This will provide housing for people developing the centre and later volunteers and short term visitors to the centre.
3) Education centre – We need to purchase a building or use a room that we can setup a lecture style classroom with 20 computers, projector, white board ctc. that can be used for after school and adult education. We will need to develop course materials from basics such as reading/writing through to basic computing. All these materials will be computer based internet courses and integrated with Bible teachings. Eg. Someone learning to read will be learning Bible stories or verses. This room will be developed in such a way that it can be easily converted into compartments.
4) Day/Night Care – We need to purchase a building or use a room in which to run the day/night care centre. It should be equipped like a Disney Day care, with all the bells and whistles with tvs all over playing Christian education material, eg Vegetales, indoor jungle gym ect. There will be snacks for the kids and a bible lesson and scripture will always be taught at some point no matter the day or event. The room needs to be developed in such a way that is can close into sections for several age group children’s church.
5) Sign Boards – We believe it will be beneficial to put a big board, “Coming Soon” describing what we will be doing and offering to the community while we are developing.
6) Sporting Centre – We need to purchase a building and develop a portion of the sporting centre, starting with a basketball court and action soccer.
Phase 2)
· Initial implementation: In this phase we start to equip the building with the necessary staff and programs.
1) Church services – We should start the Tuesday night or Sunday morning service at this point with dinner or breakfast before hand.
2) Advertising – A mail drop in the targeted area will create awareness of the facilities. The leaflet would describe the day/night care, education programs and church service times.
3) Day/Night Care – We can provide paid jobs for woman in the community from surrounding churches who are “stay at home moms”. They will be able to bring their children with them. These woman will go through a basic training course.
4) Education Centre - We can staff the centre with paid retired teachers from surrounding churches and volunteers. The centre will be open at certain times just for studying.
5) Sporting Centre – We can staff the sports centre with volunteer sport coaches and members from surrounding churches. We will begin to build up sporting leagues and teams from the community.
Phase 3)
· Operation: In this phase, 4 of the ministries go into full operation. Church Services, Day/Night Care and Education Centre and Sporting Centre
Phase 4)
· This phase is activated by the church body having grown to a considerable
1) Wisdom Centre – This is an opportunity members of the Aspen church to come down and teach.
2) Home Restoration – This is another opportunity for members of the Aspen church to get physically involved. We will elect through a draw, or several draws which member(s) of the church is/are going to get a house make over. We will inspect their house and then decide the next steps.
3) Transport system – At this stage we will know what areas are needing transport and we can implement the system. We will use volunteers from the body to drive the buses.
Phase 5)
· This phase is triggered by the growing impact of the church and a shared excitement by the members of the vision for the centre. In this phase we begin to implement steps to make the centre and community economically viable through the implementation of the business aspect.
1) Workforce – We will need someone with experience in this profession to head this up. This person will be paid a set monthly salary and will concentrate on developing relationships with businesses and finding work positions for the people. This person will also be in charge of advertising the workforce company and creating community awareness. Workers will be required to attend a workers Bible study 3 mornings a week, before work. They will also be required to attend an initiation program.
2) Entrepreneurial mentorship – We will provide workshops and programs to allow people to begin their own businesses. This is where business people from the church can come teach, assist and mentor people to be able to do this.
Phase 6)
· This phase is triggered by the successful implementation of the business aspects of the centre. The reason for this is so we can provide opportunities to members who have successfully completed the newhab program. This is the phase we purchase, equip, develop and staff the newhab centre.
1) We will need to purchase a large building in close proximity to the main building that will provide study/prayer rooms, treatments rooms, bedrooms for members attending the newhab. The newhab centre will need to house 25 members at a time plus 5 staff.
2) We will need to hire someone with experience in clinics with a passion for life change and anointing for healing. We believe we only need 1 full time staff to start. This person will be responsible for acquiring volunteers to assist in the newhab centre and will be responsible for community awareness, supplies and program development.
Phase 7)
· By this phase all other aspects of the centre are fully operational and succeeding in their purpose. In this phase we will launch the orphanage aspect. In this phase we will purchase, equip, develop and staff the orphanage.
1) We will need to purchase a large building in close proximity to the main building that will provide a “home-style’ living for 30 children at a time. The building must be decorated like a home and not a facility. We will hang pictures on the walls of the children like a home etc. We need 20 bedrooms so children can share 2 per room plus 5 staff.. The orphanage will be equipped with everything from waffle irons to an xbox.
2) We will need to hire someone with a heart and passion for hurting children and very visible fruits of the Spirit. This person will initially be the only full time staff and will be required to live in the orphanage. This person will be responsible for community awareness, program development, schooling placement and acquiring volunteers.
